Dr.GV Mohan Prasad is a Medical Doctor with post graduation in Radiology &LaryngoOtorhinology (ENT). A man with a good combination of medical profession, administrator and Philanthropist. He hails from a family of freedom fighters with an agricultural background, in Krishna District of Andhra Pradesh. He is the son of Sri. GudeMallikarjunarao- an eminent freedom fighter, and SmtVimalaKumari.

On the professional front, he is heading a diagnostic Center - Dolphin Medical Services Ltd for nearly two decades and is actively involved in ‘Indian Radiology & Imaging Association’ activities. He is the President - Indian Radiology & Imaging Association, Vijayawada Chapter for the period 2012-14. He organized a few state and national level conferences at Vijayawada in the field of Radiology. He was also the organizing president for the First National Conference of “Musculo Skeletal Radiology” held at Vijayawada in September 2013.

He joined Rotary Club of Vijayawada in 1995. He became the founder Chairman of Rotary Blood Bank and Medical services Charitable Trust in 1997, which established a modern first of its kind Blood Bank in Vijayawada. He led the GSE Team to Philippines Dist 3850 in 2004-05.He served as the Chairman of the District Conference during 2005-06 and made the conference, as one of the most memorable and successful one. He served as the chairman of District Rotary Foundation Committee-DRFC for 2009-12 and raised a record amount of about 1.12 million US Dollars in his tenure.

Dr. Mohan Prasad held almost all key District positions with great success before being unanimously elected to serve as District Governor of Rotary International District 3020 for the year 2014-15. He is now taking charge as Governor of Rotary International District 3020

He won many coveted awards in Rotary like Outstanding Rotarian, Best President, Best Secretary, Best GSE Coordinator etc., ‘The Rotary Public Image Award’ received as president of the club, is the only one ever received from Rotary International by any club in district 3020 till date. As president of the club he received a record number of 64 awards for Rotary Club of Vijayawada in a single year (2007-08) which is an unbroken record till date. He attended five RI Conventions, and visited many countries across the globe.

On the social front, he is associated with a number of social organizations. He is the Chairman of ‘Amity Charitable Trust’, President of Andhra Loyola College Alumni Association, Secretary of ALCAA Charitable Trust etc, Past President and Advisory Board Member of Nirmala Old Students Association etc., He is also associated with many social charitable trusts and organizations. He is a Major donor and also a benefactor and all his family members are PHF’s. He contributed more than 13,000 US Dollars to The Rotary Foundation till date.

His wife is Dr.LakshmiSudha. She hails from a political and service minded family and is the daughter of Dr.MSSKoteswaraRao, former Minister for Health, Govt of AP.She ably assistsDr.MohanPrasad in discharging his professional, social and Rotary activities. The couple is blessed with two children, daughter - Nimisha and son - AnirudhShanmukh.
