Pre PETS-1, at Kakinada 30th Nove & 1st Dec 2013
PRE PETS-1 was held at Kakinada on 30.11.2013, The meet was hosted by Rotary club of Kakinada. District Trainer PDG Dr. K Patabhi Ramaiah, PDG Sam Movva, Dr.DVR Poosha, DGE Dr.Mohan Prasad , DGN Jagadeeswar Rao and PDG KVR Anjaneya Murthy attended the meet and addressed the presidents elect, Secretaries elect, Asst. Governors Designate and members of the District team on various topics covering all the aspects of different activities of Rotary. District Trainer Dr.k Pattabhi Ramaiah explained the purpose of the meet. DGE Dr.Mohan Prasad elaborated the goals, targets and his ambitions during his tenure as Governor. DG Dr. Poosha explained the leaders of their responsibilities and duties while PDG Dr. Sam Movva addressed the Leaders on grants management and reporting to the Rotary International and about MOU. The president of the club Ricky Gootam and Assistant Governor were congratulated for the nice arrangements for the meet .
Pre PETS-2 at VISAKHAPATNAM 2ND Feb-2014
PETS-2 was conducted at vizag at Royal Fort hotel. Visakhapatnam on 2.2.2014 District Trainer Dr. Pattabhi Ramaiah explained the need to have PRE PETS- 2 and the purpose of the meet DGE DR. Mohan Prasad dealt on the subject “Together what we have to do” and DRFC PDG Tikku explained the topic “How can the foundation help you” . The subjects “The core values of Rotary” and “Membership the Building blocks of Rotary” were dealt by the PDG Dr. K Pattabhi Ramaiah and DGN Jagadeeswar Rao respectively. PDG Chaya and PDG Surya Rao addressed the meet and exchanged their ideas with the leaders. At the end of the meet DGE DR. Mohan Prasad explained at length how to “Plan the year and community needs and service projects”. Later the Asst. Governor designates had a separate session with DGE Dr. Mohan Prasad.
PETS,SETS AGTS&DTTS at Haailand, Vijayawada 1st&2nd March2014
Dist 3020 Training program PETS,SETS,AGTS and Dist. Team “ABHYAAS” was held on 1st and 2nd march 2014 at HaaiLand. A most beautiful and picturesque resorts near Vijayawada. The programme was meticulously planned for two days. All the participants were provided accommodation and boarding for two days in the resorts at a nominal subsidized price.
On the opening day, after the ceremonial lighting the lamp, by the dignitaries ,a nice dance was organized with lamps symbolizing The Rotary Theme “Light Up Rotary”. After Welcome remarks by the Dist. Trainer PDG. Dr. K. Pattabiramaih and inaugural message by Gov. Dr. DVR Poosha , DGE Dr. Mohan Prasad explained about the theme “Light up Rotary” and its significance. He reminded the audience about RI.President’s “ Happy claps” and the inspiration and influence the Chinese philosopher Confucious had on the RI. President. Gary C.K. Huang. The chief Guest Dr.Manoj Desai R.I.Director(2015 -17) was introduced to the gathering by PDG. Dr. MC DAS. He spoke on “JUGAAD”, the innovative ways of providing Leadership in Rotary. The speech was inspirational. PDG. Dr. MC DAS and PDG. Dr. Pattabiramiah spoke on “The Thrill of Being a Rotarian” and “Strategic Planning” respectively. There was a Strech out session for relaxation which was enjoyed by every body.
The plenary sessions were held in the afternoon PDG. Mahesh kotbagi spoke on “Dream Big” and PDG. Pramod Jejurikar spoke on E-learning. DGE. Dr. Vyankatesh Metan explained on “how to plan the year”. In the Break out sessions, Presidents elect and Secretaries elect were divided into Two groups each , and training sessions were held on Different Topics which were chosen for Presidents group and secretaries Group. The main topics were “Role and Responsibility”, “setting Targets”, “ club administration”. The groups were addressed by DGE Dr. Mohan Prasad, DGE. Dr. Vyankatesh Metan and PDG’s MV Prasad, DG Dr. Poosha, DGN . MV Jagadeeswara Rao. The District Team was addressed by PDG. Dr. Pattabhiramiah . PDG. Sam movva addressed Asst Governors and PDG. Surya Rao Addressed the District Team. The evening was very pleasant and enjoyable with nice cocktails and followed by entertainment of gymnastics and nice songs.
The second day started with a rain dance in the resorts for rejuvenation early in the morning at 6 am. It was exciting for the participants.
In the plenary session PDG. Dr. Sam movva spoke on the subject “Do more” and PP. Sudarshan Rao from Chennai explained how he adopted the concept of “ happy Villages” Dr. Mohan Prasad said that he would take up the Happy Villages project in our District 3020 and the make it a success. In another break out sessions all PDG’s mentioned above engaged Presidents, Secretaries elect and assist Governors and district Team leaders in separate sessions.
The Rotary Foundation and its targets were explained in detail by PDG Tikku, PDG. Damodar Reddy, DG Poosha and DGE Dr. Mohan Prasad. The subject “reporting” was handled by the PDG’s . Finally the Goals and targets during the year were explained by the Dr. Mohan Prasad and the meet was adjourned on a Happy Note.

Membership Seminar AAKARSHAN RID - 3020_10th Agusut 2014_Visakhapatnam
The District Membership Seminar- “AAKARSHAN” was held on 10th August 2014 at Visakhapatnam, hosted by Rotary club of Visakhapatnam. The Chief Guest of the seminar was PDG.Sam Patibandla D - 3150, Rotary Public Image Co-ordinator, Zone V and the Guest of Honor was Assistant Rotary Co-ordinator PDG B.Surendra Reddy RID 3160. The District Chairman for the Membership Development Committee PDG.M.V.Prasad in his opening remarks explained the purpose of seminar with strategies for New Membership Recruitment & Retention of existing members and the starting of New Clubs.
District Governor Dr.G.V.Mohan Prasad presented the statistical data and enlisted the duties and targets of various committees formed in the district for increasing the membership. The District Governor also discussed about the membership position and goals of various clubs in the District. He said that he is determined to fulfill his target of inducting 1500 Rotarians and starting of 25 clubs before 30th June 2015. The Chief Guest SAM Patibandla gave the Zonal & National comparative membership figures and reviewed the targets. He asked all the Rotarians to put into practice the slogan “Each Rotarian, Reach One – Keep One”. He pointed out that Good Public Image will increase New Members. PDG B.Surendra who was the Guest of honor discussed the methodologies to increase the membership and reach the projected targets. He urged the Rotarians to infuse young blood into Rotary by inducting former Rotaractors and other young people to make the club more younger.
After the inaugural session, the seminar proceedings were divided into different sessions.
PDG SAM MOVVA Organized the Session ‘MEMBERSHIP SMORGASBORD’ (Talk Show) with Panelists RIPC SAM PATIBANDLA, ARC B.Surendra Reddy, PDG K.Chaya Devi and Officer on Special Duty IPDG Dr. D.V.R.Poosha. It was a Novel & Informative session on various topics of membership development like Women Membership, improvement on the membership of weak and new clubs.
The ‘RESOURCES’ session was moderated by DG Dr GV Mohan Prasad and the panelists were B.Adinarayana- Membership Extension Committee Chairman, PYN Rao- Rotaract Committee Chairman, B.Ravi Prasad- Interact Committee Chairman. They spoke on Topics New clubs, Rotaract, Interact, New Classifications and Diversity of Membership.
In the later session, Governor Dr.G.V.Mohan Prasad, presented “Fast Track AchieverAwards” on achievements TO THE CLUBS in 1.New Member Inductions, 2.Sponsoring New clubs, 3.Sponsoring New Rotaract and Interact Clubs, 4.Contributing to The Rotary Foundation, 5.Conference Promotion etc., Host club President Dr.M.Ramjee and Seminar Chairman K.Kamaraju & AG MV Soma Sekhar have done a good job in organizing the seminar Successfully.
DISTRICT POLIO PLUS ORIENTATION& PLANNING MEET ON 16TH NOVEMBER 2014_Abhayam
District Polio plus Orientation & Planning Meet cum District Routine Immunization Meet titled as ‘ABHAYAM”was organized on 16th November, 2014 at Hotel Fortune Murali Park, Vijayawada was hosted by Rotary Club of Vijayawada Sree Durga.
Sri Bonda Uma Maheswararao, MLA, Vijayawada Central graced the occasion and lauded the efforts made by Rotary International in eradicating the Wild Polio from India and cautioned about other dreaded diseases such as Ebola, Swine flu, etc., DG G V Mohan Prasad in his address lauded the efforts made by several clubs in raising funds for polio eradication.
‘It is not over until it is over’ is emphasised by Chief Guest PDG Sam Patibandla, INPPC Member. He cited vital statistics about the endemic countries. He urged all stake holders that India is polio free and let us keep it that way.
PDG K Somasundera Sai highlighted about the importance of Social Mobilization in session titled ‘What clubs can and should do?’.
Rtn. Seshu Kumar in his presentation stated that Polio can not be treated but it can be prevented and or eradicated. He has given suggestions about the activities to be initiated by clubs before NIDs. DGE M Jagadeeswara Rao acted as moderator.
Dr. Venkata Rama Rao Paturi, Consultant Neonatal & Paediatric Intensivist elaborately explained about the issues associated with Polio immunization. Dr Sarath Babu Naik, SMO, WHO in his talk Polio End Game Strategy and "Way Forward" touched about all the intricate issues that matters in eradicating polio. Dr P S N Murthy, IMA President mentioned a personal anecdote about social effects of polio and highlighted the role of IMA in Polio Immunization. PDG P Sundara Rao is the moderator of the session.
In session titled Social Mobilization and Role of Partners PDG. M V Prasad narrated the role of Inner Wheel, Rotaractors, and Interactors in the fight against Polio. PDG P Damodara Reddy, Seminar Leader in his remarks summed up the measures to be initiated by all stake holders in eradicating the polio from globe. Host Club members Rtn B. Ravi Prasad Chaired the event, AG Rajesh C Jampala co-ordinated the event, President Rtn.Ch. Mallikharjuna Rao thanked all the participants.
DISTRICT MID YEAR REVIEW MEET ON 16TH NOVEMBER 2014_AAKRUTHI
District Mid Year Review and Update Meet which titled as ‘AAKRUTHI’ was organized on 16 th November, 2014 at Hotel Fortune Murali Park, Vijayawada was hosted by Rotary Club of Vijayawada Sree Durga.
DG G V Mohan Prasad in his opening remarks narrated his views and ideas about how the District is moving forward. PDG Tikku, the Seminar Leader in his presentation about T-E-A-C-H programme outlined the vision of Rotary India Literacy Mission (RILM) which is ‘Total Literacy and Quality Education’. The TEACH programme covers all three important constituents Children, Teacher, and school. He outlined all the facets of the programme including Teacher Support, E-Learning, Adult Literacy, Child Development and happy Schools as envisaged by RILM.
PDG Ravi Vadlamani with his eloquence and humour got the attention of delegates and given inputs for second level training. Rtn A V Ranga Rao, District Literacy Chair outlined about plans for better implementation.
PDG Pattabhiramaiah talked about how to take leverage about mandatory Corporate Social Responsibility requirements of corporate sector in mobilising funds for various service projects. PDG Sam Patibandla highlighted about the importance of Branding in positioning Rotary in the minds of people. He said that all the Rotary Communications should use the new logos of both Rotary International and Rotary Foundation.
PDG M V Prasad reviewed Membership status of our District. Rtn. Bhupathi Adinarayana gave updated details about Extension activities. The new invoicing procedure which is to be implemented from December was highlighted by PDG DVR Poosha. Strengthening of Clubs is the immediate requirement said DGE Jagadeeswarawara Rao. The thrust area of our district Happy Villages concept was discussed by DG Mohan Prasad.
Rtn Rajesh C Jampala, AG in his opening remarks said that it’s always important to have Midterm review on all important flagship programmes including Literacy, Membership Development, Public Image and Happy Villages of our Rotary District 3020. Seminar Chairman Rtn Durga Prasad said this meet will give us vital insights about the operational dimensions of these priority areas. It facilitates an opportunity for course correction and any measures that are warranted for better achievement of the desired goals.
Front Runner awards were presented to those clubs performed better in all these four areas. DGN for 2017-18 Rtn G V Rama Rao was felicitated by all RI officers and delegates present. Rtn Ch Mallikharjuna Rao President, Rotary Club of Vijayawada Sree Durga thanked all the participants.
